The DW Stadium is located in Wigan and is home to both Wigan Athletic and the Wigan Warriors Rugby League club. It was built in 1999 by Alfred McAlpine at a cost of approximately 30m. 13m came from Wigan Warriors, 5m from Wigan MBC, 3m from Wigan Athletic, 3m from sport England and just 1m from JJB it self.
The stadium holds a total of 25,138 spectators.
The record attendance for a game at the DW was a total of 25,023 for Wigan's Premiership fixture against Liverpool FC in February 2006.
The highest rugby league attendance was 25,011 during a game between Great Britain and Australia in November 2004.
The highest attendance for a Super Leauge fixture was 25,004 when Wigan Warriors entertained local rivals St Helens in early 2005.

The Marquee is situated beneath the North Stand and is designated to away supporters. Also the nearby 'Red Robin' is diesignated to away fans on matchdays.
At both Wigan Athletic and Wigan Warriors matches away supporters are situated in the North Stand behind the goal. This stand holds approximately 5,400 spectators.
All stands have refreshment bars on the concourse serving hot and cold food and drink.
