The home of Roscommon gaa, this stadium was built in 1969, taking over from the previous home for roscommon, st. comains park. When full it is a magnificent sight. Roscommon fans are noted as been the best in the country and when roscommon are involved quite an atmosphere can be had in hyde park. It was named after the first president of the irish free state Dr. Douglas hyde who was from Roscommon.
The "town end" or north satnd, is the passionate stand for the "rossies". it is the roscommon equivelant to dublins hill 16. There have been rumours that plans are been developed to increase hyde park to 40000 in a couple of years by extending the terracing in the town end and the seating west stand.

Tom foxes, Red parrot, coachmans inn, the railway bar all located within walking distance of hyde park and of course the club house for roscommon gaels has a bar open on match days.
There is no segregation at gaa matches however the town end is generally occupied by roscommon supporters. quite a sight.
