The Luzhniki Stadion, also entitled 'Grand Sports Arena of the Luzhniki Olympic Complex' is home to Spartak Moscow and Torpeado Moscow - It was built in 1956 for the Moscow Olympics and holds a total of 84,745 spectators. The stadium is fully covered and all seater, its seats are famous for being brightly coloured, ranging from yellow neat the pitch through orange and then read at the back of the stand. The stadium has an artificial 'Field Turf' pitch which was installed in 1992. This is needed due to the extremely cold winters in Russia.
The stadium hosted the Champions League Final in 2008.
